Catholic Services Appeal 2015/16
May 15, 2015
Dear Parishioners of St. Casimir Church,
I am writing to you about our Catholic Services Appeal campaign (C.S.A.) for this coming year. The money realized through this effort provides the majority of the dollars needed to operate the educational, religious and social services of the diocese. One of the many ministries that C.S.A. supports is the Vocations Office. It is through this office that our seminarians (future priests) receive their support and education. We all know that we need vocations to the priesthood in our diocese. It was your support through your donation to C.S.A. that gave me the opportunity to become a priest. Thank you. C.S.A. also covers special collections (such as the Latin America Collection, Holy Land Collection and Habitat for Humanity Collection) that we used to have spread out throughout the year. It supports the ministry of the universal Church. CSA also supports the televised Sunday morning Mass for the shut-ins. Those in need at home and around the world depend on our generosity.
Everyone’s gift is needed, no matter the size. Through our generosity to the C.S.A. campaign, we are practicing the lifestyle of Stewardship by sharing our treasure. It is the one time of year that we all come together, not just as parishioners of one parish, but also as Catholics of the Diocese of Gaylord to serve our community and the world. We need the support of all our parishioners for the Catholic Services Appeal campaign. If we all, individually, do our best, we will be blessing each other in the work of God.
Our target for this year, beginning this coming July, is $43,414. If we make the target we receive a refund, if we don’t the parish has to make up the difference. Thank you once again for your generosity; thanks to you we were able to make our target for the last year.
I personally support CSA, my gift for this year is $250 ($125-St. Casimir & $125 – St. Dominic). If you can donate $250 for the year, I would greatly appreciate it. Your donation doesn’t have to be given all at once. It can and it might work much better for many, if it is spread throughout the year. Payments can be made on a monthly basis, for example using credit cards.
Your C.S.A. representatives will be available in the school hall after Mass on the weekends of June 6-7 and June 13-14. Please plan on stopping by to make your pledge.
I really do appreciate your generosity. Please pray that we have a good campaign. I also would like to thank you for all your support of myself. May God continue to bless you.
